At Akro Las Palmas we use AI-recreated images on some pages of this website. We state it here plainly, as required by Article 50 of the EU Artificial Intelligence Act (Regulation (EU) 2024/1689), and because we think it is the honest thing to do.
1. Which images are AI-generated
The photographs illustrating our blog articles and some of the treatment-area pages are recreations generated with artificial intelligence from real photographs of our own premises. The consulting rooms, the equipment, the corridors and the reception desk you see in them are ours, exactly as they are.
2. The people in them
- The professionals are real. Whoever appears providing care is a member of the Akro Las Palmas team, recreated from their portrait and with their express consent for this use.
- The patients do not exist. The people shown receiving treatment are invented by the AI system. They are not real patients, they do not represent any specific person, and no patient's image has been used. This is how we chose to illustrate our work without compromising anyone's confidentiality.
3. What these images are NOT
They are not clinical records or proof of results. They illustrate the kind of care we provide and the place where we provide it, nothing more. No image on this website should be read as a promise of any particular therapeutic outcome.
The «Our facilities» gallery is the exception: those photographs are real and not recreated, taken at the clinic.
4. Data protection
Team portraits are processed under Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) and Spanish Organic Law 3/2018 (LOPDGDD), with each professional's consent, which may be withdrawn at any time by writing to the address given in our privacy policy. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of prior processing, and means their images are removed from this website.
